Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend

In this book a girl named Morrigan Crow moves into the free state called Nevermoor.
Morrigan begins competing in the Wundersmith trials, and Jupiter her friend helps her along the way.
She comes across an evil Wundersmith named Ezra Squal that is turning Nevermore into a horrible place. What will Morrigan do? What will happen next?
If you like magic, fantasy and happy endings well this book is definitely for you.
I rate this book 10/10 because that it was right up my alley (which means its my type of book) and I love it because it has magic .

Mildred Hubble is a new witch at Miss Cackles academy for witches. She soon meets Ethel Hallow, her enemy who is the best in every class, while Mildred always messes things up and ends up in Miss Cackles office.
Will she ever get anything right?
I liked this book because it was funny and you never know what will happen next.
I recommend this book for 7 to 12 year old's.

The Worst Witch #2: The Worst Witch Strikes Again by Jill Murphy

It is summer term and Mildred wants to try her best in getting all of her spells right and not messing up, but Mildred is told to help the new girl that is in her class.
Will Enid Nightshade help Mildred or lead her into more trouble and nearly leading her into being expelled?!
I liked this book because the new girl was always up to mischief but was also understanding.
I recommend this book for 7 to 12 year olds.

Mildred's sworn enemy Ethel Hallow turns Mildred into a frog, and while Mildred is at the pond she meets another frog that is a frog in the same way as her. Will Mildred be able to save the magical wizard?
I liked this book because it was full of surprises and fun. 
I recommend this book for 7 to 12 year olds.

After saving the wizard, Mildred's form got rewarded thanks to Mildred, but Mildred isn't looking forward to going without her own cat Tabby. Soon she hatches up a plan to rescue him without getting caught. What could possibly go wrong?
I liked this book because of all the amazing ideas she has and comes up with.
I recommend this book for 7 to 12 year olds.

Mildred uses a hair growing potion after a tragic mess with Maud's (her best friends) hair curler.
A very strange teacher comes and Mildred stops this secret evil twin of Miss Cackles for the second time, saving the whole school.
Will Mildred ever get things right?!
I liked this book because she never gets anything right but has saved her entire school twice from a dangerous invasion.
I recommend this book for ages 7 to 12.

Mildred has completed the best project ever and for once her arch enemy has not got anything, so Ethel is being very nice and helps Mildred after all her stuff has fallen out of the tree, but Mildred doesn’t know...
I like how Mildred found a way to save her project and stop Ethel Hallow from stealing work that was not hers.
I recommend this book for ages 7 to 12.

Mildred Hubble is a Lantern Monitor and is doing a very good job of it.
One night she wishes upon a shooting star, and the next morning her wish comes true but not at the right time. It causes the worst trouble ever. Can she fix things in time?
I liked this book because Miss Hardbroom tried something she'd never done before and believed in herself.
I recommend this book for ages 7 to 12.
I rate this book 10/10.

Mildred is hoping to win head girl for year 5, but she doesn't get her hopes up because of Ethel.
Every year if there was a Hallow in the year level she would get head girl but could things change and break the hallow tradition.
I liked this book because it said how not everything has to go this way or another, things can change.
​I recommend this book for ages 7 to 12. 
I rate this book 10/10.

Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend

In this book Morrigan Crow struggles with the challenges of becoming a Wundersmith. She wants to keep her secret. Morrigan has been told all Wundersmiths are evil, like Ezra Squall the most evil Wundersmith in history, but she is out to prove them wrong.
Morrigan works in this book to try to stop blackmail she and her classmates are getting. She makes new friends along the way while trying to stop evil.
I like this book because it has the elements of fantasy, magic and adventure.
I liked it when they were trying to stop the blackmail.
If you like the elements of fantasy, magic and adventure, this book is totally for you.

Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy by Lynley Dodd

There is a black, soft, fluffy dog named Hairy Maclary and he's from Donaldson's Dairy.
Hairy Maclary is meeting new friends on his journey, each of them different in their own way.
Their walk was a fun adventure until they come across the toughest Tom in town. Scarface Claw is a black, scary, yellow eyed cat who lets out a wail and scares Hairy Maclary and his friends. What will happen on his next adventure?
I like this book because the illustrations are AMAZING!

I like this book because I like reading this book to my little brother and sisters. It makes us laugh.

This book is about a boy named Simon, but most of his friends call him Chook.
He has a take his pet to school.He is going to take his pet Bruce.
His best friend Joe has no pet to take in, so Simon and Joe look for a pet for Joe.
I recommend this book for year 2,3 and 4.
I rate this book a 10/10 because it made me laugh and I read this book 3 times. 

Whose Bum, On the Farm by Heath McKenzie

Whose bum on the farm is a lift the flap book about farm animals. Each bum is different and unique. All of the animals are owned by Fred The Farmer. This book creates a sense of mystery. Gerry The Goat what have you done?
I like this book because I like when my sisters laugh.

The Last Bear by Hannah Gold

April Woods is an 11 year old girl whose life isn't so happy. Her dad is a grieving scientist and no one appreciated her.
But one day her dad gets a letter for work asking him to study on Bear Island near the north pole. Granny Appleman doesn't want them to go because of bears, but everyone else says there are no bears anymore on Bear Island. When April gets to bear island she meets a new friend that is wild.
Can she help her new found friend and leave after rescuing him?
I liked this book because of all the adventures they had but also of the kindness from April.
I recommend this book for ages 8+.

Zac Power #5: Tomb of Doom by H. I. Larry

Once again Zac has only 24 hours to save the world!
G.I.B (government investigation bureau) has been guarding the vanishing pyramid but is now missing.
Tremors have rocked the region because raiders have broken into the pyramid with is now the Tomb of Doom.
Zac's mission is to locate the pyramid and the missing agent before it collapsed.
With the help of Leon a video game, a beetle torch, a can of bandage be gone he was able to get through the cat room, the mummy room, the treasure room, find Caz the GIB agent who was a double agent, charm the snakes and saved the day.
It is suitable for grade 4 plus.
This was a good story, I rate it 7/10. 

Not Cute by Philip Bunting

Not cute is a story about a Quokka who doesn’t like being called cute.
The Quokka first dresses up as a dingo. The Dingo said that Quokka was cute Quokka was not happy.
My favourite part is when the Quokka tried to bite the Snake, but instead of the Quokka biting him, he eats the Quokka.
I also like the illustrations because they are very detailed.
I recommend this book for year 1 and up because it is really easy to read and some preps might not know how to read it.
​I rate this book 7.5/10 because this book was not my favourite but I still enjoyed it.

Yong Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe

Young Dark Emu is an Aboriginal book that has not many words, but a very deep story behind it. It shows you how Aboriginal people used to live before and after the Europeans came and took over their land and didn’t want to give it back.
The book shows amazing details in the pictures and puts an image in your mind.
My favourite part is the detailed texts and pictures because it puts an image in your mind that makes you think of it differently.
I recommend this book to 9 year old's and up because they probably wouldn’t understand it as much as you would need.
​I rate this book 6/10 because I wouldn’t probably read this type of book again but it was still really good.

Deltora Quest #1: The Forests of Silence by Emily Rodda

This book was a story about an adventure to collect all of the crystals, but the evil Shadow Lord had scattered them all around the island with mythical creatures to protect them.
I really enjoyed reading this book because I love adventure books and it was really long.
I would recommend this book to 9-13 year old's because it has a lot of battles between the characters.

Imagine 400 interesting facts that could teach you some really cool stuff...unless you think you already know EVERYTHING!
My favourite fact was about the dark green rubies.
I was hooked by this book because it taught me heaps and heaps and heaps of really interesting facts.
​I think this book would be perfect for people who like learning new things! This is a 9/10!

The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young

In this story a sloth tries to win a race and while all the other animals think he will never win and decide to stop for a break the sloth doesn't.
I adored this book because it was so entertaining.
I think all other kids would love this book especially kids who love running.

The Bad Guys #9: The Big Bad Wolf by Aaron Blabey

In episode 9 of the series, Mr Wolf turns giant and creates a really big problem for the Bad Guys.
The characters have to work together to try to save the day.
I absolutely loved this book because it was so funny and full of adventure that made my heart feel like it was stopping when I was reading all the twists and turns.
I think 7 year olds and older should read this because it was easy to read and really funny in the middle.
​This was a 10/10! So breathtaking!

Warriors #2: Fire and Ice by Erin Hunter

In this story Fireheart comes with Graystripe through the forest to find Windclan a missing cat.
During the adventure Graystripe falls in love with Silverstream after they save them from almost drowning.
This is an amazing book! I want to read this over and over again for a million years, it was that good!
I recommend this book to kids like my friend Piper who love cats and action-packed adventure books.
​This is a 10/10 because it has a lot of detail that builds to the story.

Finn Jones was Here by Simon James Green

This story is about two friends who used to like playing games together until Eric lost his friend Finn. He is miserable because he is no longer coming to his house until there are some surprising mysteries.
I really loved this book because I read with my sister and it made me feel good reading it.
I think this is a book that everyone could enjoy.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid #5: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a great, hilarious book where the main character Greg is learning new things in life about growing up and friendship.
I loved the part when Greg is losing all of his friends and tries different things to make new friends.
Although this is a series I think all kids could love, this book is suited to 10-year-olds and up because there are lots of words and pages and things that some little kids might not understand yet like growing up and body changes. I rate this book a 10/10. I had a lot of fun reading it, it was engaging and had so many moments of comedy gold.

The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland

This is all about dragons getting captured by the queen dragon where she makes them fight other prisoners and they eat coals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This is my favourite book because of how they escape from the prison and search for freedom.
I think that kids who are interested in books with fighting battles and graphic novels would love it.
​It is an 8/10 and I can't wait to read the next one.

Dog Man #11: Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea by Dav Pilkey

This book was about a massive amount of fleas invading the city.
It is full of crazy events but in the end it teaches you that not all people have to be the same because in the story the fleas all help Dog Man and Petey.
I adored this book because to me it's ABSOLUTELY comedy gold!
This book is perfect for people who like dogs and action movies.

Amulet #3: The Cloud Searchers by Kazu Kibuishi

This Amulet story is about a girl that has a magic amulet and she goes to the cloud kingdom. While she is there a boy traps her and she into a magical gate. The boy takes the crystal and tries to get away.
I found this book extraordinary and magical, and I would definitely read it again.
If you are a kid who loves magic and a surprising ending then this is the book for you!

The Land of Lost Things by Andy Griffiths

The characters are on an adventure to try to get a lucky rabbits foot but instead end up stuck in the land of the lost things.
This book really sucked me in and I loved reading it.
The people who should give this book a try are people who like adventures, long books and cool pictures.

Bunny vs Monkey: Machine Mayhem by Jamie Smart

Skunky invented a robot called Metal Eve to help him and Monkey to take over the woods.
Eventually Metal Eve gets a big upgrade and try to turn all the animals including the creator of her, Skunky, into robots.
Later, Skunky goes to Metal Eve and deletes her. I
I thought this book was the best out of any other series I have read because it has everything you could possibly want- animals, action and laughs.
If you are 9 and up and like all those things you would love this 10/10 book.

1000 Amazing Weird Facts by D.K. Publishing

This book had a lot of weird but really cool facts that kept me wanting to read one after the other.
I enjoyed it because I love space and cool facts so combining both had me on my toes.
This is a great book for ages 6+ because it was a challenge to read but very interesting.

Scooby-Doo: The Fright at the Zombie Farm by Careland

This book is about a farmer that is at a fair. The path that I took is where Scooby Doo and Shaggy went to a place that predicts your future, but when he comes out they decide to follow the lady that was a predictor and they find there plans was going to ruin the fair, but Scooby Doo and shaggy save the day.
I like the choice and options of this book.
I would rate this book a 9/10 because of the different options and that choice. But what will you choose?

Cross my Heart and Never Lie by Nora Dasnes

In this book Tuva starts year 7. The whole year level has chose a side: people who fall in love and people that don’t.
Bao and Linnea are Tuva’s best friends but both of them have chosen a side (Linnea on the fall in love side and Bao on the not fall in love side) and Tuva is stuck in the middle.
A new girl called Mariam joins the school, Tuva finds out she is in love with Mariam. Tuva is really embarrassed about it, she only tells Bao.
Soon Linnea invites her to a sleep over with a bunch of her friends and Bao and Linnea.
At the sleep over they play truth or dare and Bao finds out Tuva went shopping with Linnea. Bao gets really mad. She tells Linnea about her crush and soon enough the whole room knows. What will Tuva do?
I like how this book is written like Tuva’s diary. I also love the pictures, it’s a graphic novel and has lots of detail.
​I recommend it for ages 10-14 and rate it a 7.5/10.

The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone by Jaclyn Moriarty

When Bronte was a baby she was left on one of her 12 aunties porches with a packet of tea and she’s been there ever since.
When Bronte was 10 her parents got killed by pirates. They left Bronte a very bossy will with fairy cross stitching. Bronte has to travel to all 11 aunties and give them presents. Bronte has to travel alone take certain types of transport stay for a number of days and more. If Bronte doesn’t follow these instructions perfectly then her home town will be ripped apart.
Will Bronte make it to her last aunty safely or will her home town be destroyed.
I liked the mystery aspect, the pictures and the descriptive language in this book.
I recommend it for ages 9-12 because younger ages could get bored since it is a long book (494 pages, 109 chapters).

Little People, Big Dreams: Taylor Swift by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara

This book described Taylor Swift's journey from a young girl to where she is now.
First the book tells us how Taylor fell in love with country music and her first song “Lucky You”.
Then the book tells us how Taylor was bullied in school, people didn’t like country music and made fun of her cowgirl boots.
Next the book describes some of her awards, for example 4 Grammies for Fearless.
Finally we learn about Taylor Swift now, her 1989 album, what music she makes and how she cares for her fans.
I liked the book because it’s a good story on Taylor’s life and you would learn a lot about her reading this.
I recommend this book to ages 7-10 and to people who want to learn about Taylor because it’s a picture book with lots of information.

This Book is a Time Machine by Tracie Dembo

In this book two girls tell us about the past, present and future.
When a future reader sends in a note to them the robot that brings it tears open the page and because the book is a Time Machine people and stuff from the past, present and future come to life. There’s a mummy, a Victorian lady and even a giant octopus. Can the girls save the book?
I liked how this book made learning about the past, present and future fun.
I recommend this book for ages 5-8 because it is fun and would keep that age group entertained.

The New Girl #2: First Crush by Cassandra Calin

The New Girl First Crush is about Lia.
After finally settling in to her new school Lia has her first crush, Julian a boy in the magazine committee.
They start hanging out more often, but then Jade starts hanging out with Julian more. At first this just annoys Lia then it gets way too much and they have a big fight, and decide to just be friends.
I liked the pictures in this book they are very detailed and because this is a graphic novel that's awesome.
I recommend this book to 9-14 year old girls because it is a girly book.
​I rate it a 9/10 because I love the New Girl books and it’s so entertaining.

Nevermoor #3: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend

In this book Morrigan Crow is back saving Nevermoor.
Morrigan now attends a secret school where she learns how to control her power as a Wundersmith but a disease starts to affect the Wunamuls (animals that dress and behave like humans).
This disease (Hollowpox) makes a Wunamuls eyes flicker green and attack people. Hollowpox got the name Hollowpox because once the Wunamul has the disease it goes hollow.
On top of all that Morrigan gets an offer from Ezra Squall (the evilest man ever and last living Wundersmith before Morrigan) to be his partner and he will give her the cure to Hollowpox. But will she take it?
I liked the description in this book, it describes the characters and the settings very well.
I recommend it to ages 10-14 who have read the other books because if you haven’t nothing will make sense.
​I give this book a 9/10 because how it had me hooked and wanting to read more.

Do Not Open This Book EVER by Andy Lee

In this book Wiz was in a deep sleep then a fairy came and woke him with a kiss, but the kiss came with an effect. Whenever anyone turns the page Wiz gets older.
Wiz goes from a baby saying ‘Goo Goo Ga Ga’ to a 75 year old receiving walking sticks for his birthday.
I liked this book because it was interactive for example “If you can please turn the page” and “Don’t turn the page” I
recommend it to ages 3-8 because of the fun factor.

The Midnight Thief by Sylvia Bishop

In this book Freya’s dad is famous for finding the seven Eldrida dragon statues.
He sends Freya off to a boarding school. She meets Abigail the schools lead girl who doesn’t like her and the headmistress who also doesn’t like her.
But when Freya meets the twins she sneaks out with them (using the keys that her father gave her to get into all the buildings the Eldrida dragons are in) to break into the museum.
Her keys slip out of her pocket as he runs back to school because she’s not meant to be at the museum. The same night the dragons are stolen, Freya thinks it’s one of the teachers at her school but who could it be?
I liked the pictures in this novel because there very detailed.
​I recommend it to ages 8-11 and give it a 7/10.

A Family is Like a Cake by Shona Innes

A family is like cake is about how a family is like a cake. All are a little bit different, some are gooey and some are firm.
It takes a special recipe to make a family some may have sugar some may not.
I liked the illustrations in this book but didn’t like how it kept repeating itself like it said “Our family are the people we feel we belong to” then on the next page “Families are the people who help us feel we belong” and that just really annoyed me.
I recommend it for ages 5-6 because the younger age end of the spectrum aren’t going to understand and older kids aren’t going to enjoy it.
​I rate it a 5/10 because of how annoying it is to read a book that just repeats itself.

11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass

Long ago when Amanda Elerby was born on the same day in the same town as Leo Fitzpatrick they had to spend every birthday together or else the day would replay itself.
When they were 5 they had a pottery making birthday. They each got a plant and now they have to keep the plant alive and spend every birthday together.
All this was done by Angelina D’Angelo. On Leo and Amanda’s 10th birthday they had a falling out, Amanda threw the plant out the window. When their 11th birthday comes around they both relive the day. How will they work it out? Will they work together?
I liked this book because of the cliff hangers which kept you wanting more.
​I recommend it for ages 8-12 and rate it 8.5/10.

The Frozen Unicorn by Alice Hemming

In this book Violet falls in love with Nicolas. When they have a fight about not dancing together at the dance Violet is heart broken. The next morning Violet goes to say sorry to Nicolas but he is missing.
Violet goes to Madam Vergers house (the old lady of the town) she tells Violet she has to go find Nicolas and that maybe it’s the work of the evil frozen unicorn. Will Violet find Nicolas in time?
I like this book because of the plot twists that were very entertaining.
I recommend it for ages 8-12 because it’s a bigger read (367 pages).
I rate it a 7/10 because I didn’t really like Violet the main character.

Karen’s Witch is about a girl called Karen who lives next to a lady called Mrs Porter. Mrs Porter wears a long black cardigan and has short gray hair. She has a black cat called midnight.
Karen believes that Mrs Porter is a witch.
One day she has a meeting at her place and Karen is sure it full of witches. One day Karen comes up with an idea if spying on her. When Kristy was walking by she found Karen in her garden.
I would recommend this book for people aged 7 to 12.
I rate this book 7/10.

Looshkin has many wild adventures, like shoving a bed down the toilet to make it flood and taking over a plane and making it crash. Join Looshkin on his extreme story's that happened in his life.
If you like crazy adventures and graphic novels well then this book is for you!
I rate this book 10/10 because Looshkin makes me laugh. I haven't read a graphic novel before, so I tried something new and I liked it. 

Guts by Raina Telgemeier

This book shows us how sometimes our tummy’s cannot like something once, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to never eat it again. That happened to Raina in this story and she ate something that made her tummy upset. So she thought that she can’t eat that food again would fix that problem. But she realised she had to try it again because she realised that it could be because she had a weird tummy bug. So she tried it again and she did.
After 24 hours her tummy didn’t hurt so she ate it on every thing.
I don’t really like this book because it’s a bit gross but otherwise it’s a very good book.
I would recommend this book to kids from the age of 6 to 12.

Hot Dog and the gang are making toys from recycling materials hoping to win a trip to Doc Sports toy factory.
They make some weird and wonderful creations, but do they win the prize.
I think it suited for grade 3.
I rate this book at 8/10.

Sea Country by Aunty Patsy Cameron

This text by Aunty Patsy Cameron and Lisa Kennedy is about their family’s connection to the sea country.
They say that their clan is the Mannalargenna of the Pairrebeen Trawlwoolway clan.
The illustrations are very detailed with lots of symbols in them.
I like the book because it was an engaging.
​I would recommend this to First Nations enthusiasts.

Wominjeka. Sea Country is an Indigenous book that is wonderfully illustrated story, from the point of view of the author who is apart of the Mannalargenna of the Pairrebeene Trawlwoolway clan in the Bass Strait.
This book explains the Aboriginal techniques on how to “speak to country” and how they were taught storytelling. “Uncle taught us to speak to country” (…)
They also explain the seasons and when they move from place to place and let country heal.
The illustrations are really detailed and almost tell their own story…well they kind of do. On one page it said “These are some of the ways that sea country showed us”. This tells us how good they are at “listening to country” and why they continue to look after country to this day.
I think the message is to look after the land it’ll look after you.
It also explains the deep culture of the Mannalargenna of the Pairrebeene Trawlwoolway clan.
I recommend this well illustrated book to anyone who wants to learn Aboriginal cultures.
I rate this book 10/10 since the illustrations and the writing is fabulous. I like this book very much.

Sea Country is an Indigenous book about Indigenous cultures and what has happened in the past.
The amazing, state of the art illustrations also help explain and describe the story.
They even use some Aboriginal language and explain what it means.
Then they talk about the seasons and how they heal. On one page it says "We were free to hear country speak to us”. I think this means that they own that land and no one can take that away from them. I also think this message means to look after the land we are on.
I would recommend this book for people how are interested in the past and Aboriginal cultures. 
I really liked the detailed illustrations so I’m going to give this a strong 10/10.

In Sea Country Aunty Patsy Cameron and Lisa Kennedy describe their childhood in Sea Country. They did activities like going fishing, collecting shells then making shell necklaces and watching birds like the mutton birds (also known as moon birds). They can tell when the birds are coming by when the plants bloom.
They use the country to tell the weather like if there are lines around the moon that means bad weather. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people really know what they were doing.
I liked the illustrations because they were so detailed and beautiful. The book had a lot of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples artwork in it which I think was pretty cool.
I recommend it for ages 5-12 that want to learn about Aunty Patsy Cameron and Lisa Kennedy's childhood as Aboriginal people.
I give it a 7.5/10!

Sea country sows how Aboriginal culture used to be before the First Fleet came. The quote “there was freedom there freedom to patches awe culture” made me feel sad for the people who were here before us because we took the freedom away from them and the culture away from them to.
The illustrations were very good and beautiful and detailed.
I like this book because stories are very interesting to read.
I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn about Aboriginal cultures.
l rate the book a 9/10 because of the attention to detail and the story that this book has.

Class Teddy Bear by Belle Perez

Ted's arm is broken so the students help Ted's arm.
Ted needs a bed so they make him a bed.
The students make Ted a hat.
Ted needs a house so they make him a house.
Ted needs to go home so a student gets to take Ted home for the weekend. Ted is the main character. The setting is at a School. In this book Ted makes people happy but only one person gets to take him home. Everyone gets a go.
My opinion is that this book is not really something I would read on a daily basis. It’s mostly a book for little kids. I recommend it to ages 5+.
I rate it 7/10.

The Last Kids on Earth and the Midnight Blade by Max Brallier

Jack and his friends went to fight the zombies because they were taking over the world. Jack and his friend waned to save the world.
He fell into the crowd of zombies and then his friend came to save the day and kill the walking dead.
I recommend this book for 7+ because it has a lot of words but I think they could read it.
​I rate it a 7/10 because I like it but not a lot. I liked jack and his friends saving the day but I didn’t like some of the other events.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid #15: The Deep End by Jeff Kinney

The author of this book is Jeff Kinney.
The main characters are Greg Heffly, his young brother Manny, his older brother is Rodrick and their parents are Susan and Frank.
This book is all about them going camping and just to explore the world plus it also says that there is heaps of fun stuff to do other than sit on electronics all day, so they went on a hike, swimming in a lake called the fish hatchery, and on the lazy river.
I loved this book because it was very interesting and so funny.
There were a lot of words, but I got there and so will you if you don't give up.
​I recommend this book for ages of 11-13.
I will give this book a rating of a 9/10 because there were a lot of words.

Sweet Valley Twins #1: Best Friends by Francine Pascal

This is about two twins who were the duo that any one can meet.
They always matched in clothes but they had to move to Sweet Valley.
When they just started middle school the younger twin Jessica decided that she want to be in the popular group The Unicorns.  The older twin Elizabeth has to find other friends.
I recommend this book for 10+ it's easy to read because it is graphic novel.

So Wrong by Michael Wagner

This book was about stupid life lessons with stories in it like one called the nappy witch was about a little boy and his dad going for a walk when the little boys nappy was jam packed and he raced his dad to a pole and his nappy came off so he was naked but his dad still won the race.
Another one was Soccerhead and that was about a little prep hanging with the year six cool kids. One called Timmy was his neighbour and had to walk home with Jaxon, the little one.
Jaxon talked Timmy's head off and he popped Timmy's soccer ball and then jumped in concrete and got stuck so he asked Jaxon for helped and he said unscrew his head of and jump out and went on and on till he had a foot left and I cant say anymore.
My favourite part was when he gives his stupid life lessons.
I recommend it for people under thirteen.
I rate it 8/10 because it was very good but it also had parts where he spells it stupidly wrong and I cant read it.

So Wrong 2 by Michael Wagner

This book was the same as book one, but it had a story about Warren the one one legged super dog and that was about a super dog with one leg and had to protect its owner that owned a 1 million dollar handbags that these dodgy thief's stole, but Warren the one legged super dog saved the day by getting sling shot and took the bag back to his owner.
My favourite part was when the dog got sling shot to the thief's.
I recommend it for people who like stupid books.
I rate it 7/10 because it wasn't as funny as 1book one.

HotDog! #5: Camping Time! by Anh Do

Hot Dog and his friends are having a camping trip on Rainbow Island where they hiked and made tents and went kayaking.
Each friend has a skill to help the group with chores and activities.
They have a great time.
This book is suited for grade 2+.
I rate this book at 10/10. It was really good. I enjoyed reading it because all the fun activities that were included in it.

Keeper of the Lost Cities #3: Everblaze by Shannon Messenger

In this book Sophie discovers that her abilities are stronger than she realises. A mistake is made and it leaves her with hard choices to make. Her friends are the only people she can rely on. Because of her choice the lost cities are on the very edge of war. Has she gone to far?
I would recommend this for 10-12 yr old's.
I would rate this 10/10 because it sucked me into the story.

Nala's Dare by Joanne Barkan​

In this book Nala is still little and is struggling to hunt and misses Simba. After the incident with Simba her mother has started to be over protective. She can hardly play tag and has no chance of doing the hunting games that everyone else is going to do.
During a game of tag, that everyone's mother except her own thinks is safe, Nala and Simba's cousin are running as partners. Not sure who's it Nala gets tagged and her partner is nowhere to be seen she asked for a partner but nobody wanted to except the youngest but her older sister says she is too young.
At that moment her flustered mother bolts in and snatches her away. The last thing she saw was all the lions snickering at her.
Later that week is the hunting games and Nala has no doubt that her mother will takle her and bring her home when she goes to hunt surprisingly she didn't, the only thing she did was give a nod as she walked in the tall grass. She trys several pounses but dosen't get close. After 10 minutes her mother screams, races in and grabs her. That night she sits on Simba's and her rock, sad that she didn't even finish the hunting games but a little more happy that another cub came and talked to her.
Bang on midnight she as silently as possible sneaks to the waterhole planning to sneak of to see if Simba is alive. The youngest finds her and insists that she come. Nala still doesn't tell her why she is going but agrees to let her come.
After a storm of madness and a stamped of elephants, Nala's companion wants to go home. After the journey back Nala makes her swear not to tell anyone where she went, but the poor cub is forced to tell the tribe. They make Scar go to find her because he is the king after all. He goes with Zazu because the annoying bird insisted he come.
Meanwhile Nala takes a rest in a cave which ends up being a full night sleep and in the morning she wakes up to Zazu in her face, which was quite annoying.
Nala told Scar her mission, thinking he had more grief of losing Simba than her because he was his uncle. Pretending to care, Scar agrees to go on and find Simba knowing he was dead and if he was alive he will kill him. The journey went on and they went to hunt some food but Scar did most of the work. That night Nala wants to do more and convinces Zazu to let her go. She remembers her advice from her friend and leaps on a Zebra.
In the morning they leave and find a cave but it was in the teritory of Scar's enemies who plan to tear them apart.
Nala flees the cave and maneges to get Scar out. They make it to a safe river witch carries them to where Simba is.
Scar makes his move to kill Simba, but Nala determined to save her friend pounces on Scar and takles him to the floor.
Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumba return to Pride Rock. That night Simba and Nala sit on their rock and Simba promises never to run away again.
My favorite bit in this book was how Nala saved Simba from Scar.
I would recommend this for 7-12 yr olds.
I would rate this 9.8/10 because it kept going with the story and was tied in a bow at the end!

Captain Underpants: The Epic First Manga by Dav Pilkey

The main characters in the book are George, Harold and Mr. Krupp, who turns into Captain Underpants.
The main problem is that Mr. Krupp tries to stop George and Harold from writing their manga's (books) so George gets a hypnotic kit so they can turn him into Captain Underpants.
I like how there is Japanese writing in the book.
This book is good for ages 9-12.
I rate it a 9/10 because of the Japanese illustrations.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling

I loved Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone because it made me feel like I was there at Hogwarts.
From the moment Harry discovered he was a wizard the story is full of mystery, magic, and exciting adventures.
My favourite characters were Harry, Ron, and Hermione because they work together, even when things are dangerous.
J.K. Rowling describes the magical world so well that l could imagine every classroom, spell, and creature.
This book also teaches you important lessons about friendship, courage, and the right thing to do.
I would recommend this book to people who are interested in fantasy, adventure, and unforgettable characters.
I would give this book a 10/10 because it kept me turning the pages which wanted to make me read the second straight away. 

Zac Power #4: Frozen Fear by H.I. Larry

Zac Power, special agent of GIB, was looking forward to his summer holiday at the beach where he could surf all day long.
On the way to the beach, Zac's holiday got cancelled for a mission to the great icy pole.
After stopping pirates from robbing a tourist ship and solving the patrol shortage and stopping a missile launch he made it back for fish and chips at the beach. Another great adventure for him.
It is best suited for grade 4+.
I rate this book a 10 out of 10. 

Diary of a Wimpy Kid #14: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney

I like this book because it’s funny, like on page 51 when they’re trying to advertise and make a poster of themselves with a strong body.
I also really liked how on Greg‘s birthday his uncle Joe‘s killer dog ate his cake and later after that Greg’s uncle told his dad that his pet dog didn’t actually run to a sunny place and actually got hit by a car he got sad and wanted to buy a new dog and he headed off and bought a tiny little dog but Mum wasn’t very keen on the idea but they still kept it. Lucky them.
But it turned out to be a drama and Greg really wanted to get rid of it poor them.
Last but not least Greg and Rowley were having fun with their money and teasing kids by putting it through the planks above them and then ripping it through when a kid went to go grab it and then teenagers came after them but they escaped and kept doing it and eventually they got a fast kid and he stole their money.
I rate it 10/10 because of all its arguments and drama.
