How to Create a Book Review

Write your book review on either paper or type it in a Word document. Check for spelling and punctuation before submitting your final copy.  

​Your book review needs to include:
​

• The book’s title 
• The author’s name 
• What the book was about (in your own words) 
• Why you liked (or didn’t like) the book 
• Who you would recommend the book for? 

• What you would rate the book out of 10?

(What the book was about - in your own words) Tom Gates and his family are going on a family camping trip. He gets to the cabin and is disgusted by the look and after that more bad things start to happen. How will Tom survive? I love all the Tom Gates books because they are funny and so entertaining. (Why you liked (or didn’t like) the book)
 
(What you would rate the book out of 10?) I rate this book a ten out of ten and this book would be for ages 7 to 12 because I’m in Year Five and I love them. (Who you would recommend the book for?)

How to Submit a Book Review

1. After you have written your book review on either paper or in a Word document
2. Go to the Bulldogs Read website www.bulldogs-read.com.au
3. Click on  SUBMIT A BOOK REVIEW 
4. Fill in your details.  

Your submitted book review needs to include:

• Your name: e.g.; Julie B.
• Your School: (just the initials) e.g.; Canadian Lead Primary School becomes CLPS.
• The book’s title and the author’s name.
• Your review: either type in your review or Copy your review from Word and Paste it into the Review box on the website.

• Click SUBMIT.
