This is the first book in an amazing series written by Tui T. Sutherland called Wings of Fire; The Dragonet Prophecy. It's an incredible fantasy novel.
In the book, we are introduced to our main characters, the dragonets. Their names are Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Sunny and Starflight and they embark on a perilous quest to stop the great war. Little do they know, many of the dragon tribes of Pyrrha know about them, even though they have been raised in secrecy. Many of the dragon tribes also are trying to stop them from ending the war. Can the dragonets save Pyrrha? Or is it the end for them? Read to find out!
This book is an exciting novel with many action-packed chapters. It will take you on an awesome rollercoaster where you will be plunged from darkness and despair into happiness and elation.
I recommend this action- fantasy novel for the ages 9- 13 years old. This book is great for those ages because it can be quite gory at times.
It's an amazing book that I could definitely read again.
I rate this novel 10/10.

Eventually they get sick of being kept in a cave and escape, but that backfires when the queen of the sky dragons catches them. Now they have to battle in the queen's arena with the help of a sky dragon Peril. Now they're on an adventure to find all their homes and stop the war.
I would recommend this book for Years 2 to 6.

This book is about a group of friends that are about to shoot a new movie. They are really excited to do the fantastic movie. When it was time to practice their roles they were so excited to start that the day. As the girls competition escalates, will the girls realize that their relationship is more valuable than a movie role?
I rate it a 7/10.

The Last Bear by Hannah Gold

Picture
Reviewed by Sam McK. BGS

In this book we are introduced to our main character April where she has to go to Bear Island which has no bears apparently, for her dad’s new job. When she arrives there, she sees a silhouette in the distance and finds a fully grown polar bear but when time is running out and bear cannot stay on the island, she has to do something. In this book it is an action filled story of two near-impossible friends trying to get of the island. The author, Hannah Gold, always has the reader guessing on what's going happen and having an extremely good mix between detail and the text still moving forward and also the family text bits like when April has a fight with her father. Then there is the extreme amount of emotion, there was so much emotion that I was about to shed some tears. Also there were warnings about global warming in this book. Hannah Gold has informed me a bit more about global warming and I am very intrigued on what other books she writes.
I would recommend this book if you like a very unpredictable book and if you like a realistic book that gets you emotional all the time and gives you the feeling that the animals are humans.
Overall this is a lovely book and I give it a 10/10!

The Song of Lewis Carmichael by Sofie Laguna

This is a great book about a boy named Matthew and a bird named Lewis Carmichael who travel to the arctic. It starts off a bit weird and confusing but then it starts to become a lot more clear. The book is great for anyone who likes a bit of adventure.
I recommend this book for people from 7 and up due to some of the complicated words.
I really enjoyed this book and give it 8/10.

Roz is a robot who knows nothing of her past. Her ship crashed and she is the only survivor. She meets many people such has a talking squirrel, a goose, bears, and other things. She becomes the most popular person on the island. But foes come to take her away. She just survives. She must leave but everyone wants her to stay. She was a zero then she became a hero. I really like the mystery in the book because it keeps me guessing. Peter Brown is a very good fantasy writer. The way he changes his type of writing throughout the story. He is very descriptive and he doesn't need to tell, he can just show.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and future.
I rate it 8/10.

The dentist is a nightmare and he is going to change unquiet night. The main bad guy is the mirk, who wants the wrdie tree for itself. I really like the twists in the book because it keeps me second guessing. Also the mystery and word choices are really good for this type of book because the words are all crazy just like this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sequels and action/ mystery.
I rate it 9/10.

A Great Escape by Felice Arena

This book is about a boy named Peter who lives with his Oma and Opa which is grandma and grandpa in German. He is experiencing the cold war in a really tough way because he is without his parents. His parents left Berlin and he was meant to come the day after and then suddenly the wall was built separating him from his family. But Peter wants to go to his family so he can get over the wall. This book has lots of twists and turns all throughout the book which is very exciting. I think a lot of other people would like it but it was not my cup of tea because I am not a big fan of war stories. That being said, I am going to give this book a 5/10 but if you like war stories definitely read this book.

Specky Magee and a Legend in the Making
by Felice Arena and Garry Lyon

Picture
Reviewed by Samuel McK. BGS

I have enjoyed reading this book because it is a story about a
kid's footy journey, and I am big fan of footy. I am a hard Dogs supporter. This is a story I loved, not only because of the subject, but also the structure. It has little problems along the way, but it also keeps the story moving forward. Also, it gives a view of Specky’s life and gives the reader an understanding of how Specky would have felt during this story, like it’s putting you into his shoes. Then they also put a little short bit of information about the character that gives you an understanding of the character. Also, the use of real rules or things that happen in the real world in the book make it feel like this is happening in real life.

I would recommend this book if you are a footy fan and if you love the personalised view of Specky during the story and the little side tasks that are an impact in the story and if you like realistic stories that make you imagine this in real life.

I quite enjoyed how the author added different ways of writing. Also, he made like a class scout because the principal would always come, so it shows a funny part.  I also was pleased by the different characters and their stories, and when there's a key event, they would put a different set of characters. The ending was the best part because the author put all the characters together and it had a lot of twists.
Overall, I would rate this book 8/10.
Any comedy fans out there would like this book very much.

I have liked reading this book very much because it is always moving forward and there is always something to give the reader some emotion while reading the book. Also it makes a sudden twist every few chapters so you can never guess what’s going to happen next. There’s also a lot of climaxes, like it’s never ending curiosity and excitement. There’s so many different times in the book where there are shock and wonders… so much that you can’t even put the book down.
This is why I would recommend reading this wonderful book Lucky Strike.
I would recommend this book if you love to read books that are fictional but sound real and if you love a book with a major events everywhere in the story that also gives a lot of emotion in the events and an occasional twist which you can never guess when it will occur so the future of the story is a mystery.
