This book is amazing, with many hard choices and suspenseful moments. I give this book a rating of 10/10, due to the fact that it is very well written and has intriguing, suspenseful moments.
This book's age rating is for about 10- 14 year olds, as it is a spooky genre and has some very scary moments. The best thing about this book, is that it is the second book in a series and all the others are a great read as well. Thanks for reading!

The Water Horse by Dick King-Smith

Picture
Reviewed by Lachlan T. BGS

Angus, and his big sister Kirstie, have found something unusual at the beach. They take it home and put it in the bath, hoping it will do something. The object wiggles, it judders, and it cracks, and out pops a tiny little head. The head of a monster. Kirstie and Angus's Grandpa thinks it's a kelpie or a water horse but one thing is for sure: it can't stay in the house!
Read about Kirstie and Angus's daring journey in Scotland, as they fight to keep the Water Horse safe. You will be taken on a rollercoaster of emotion, as Kirstie and Angus fight to contain the Monster as it grows. This book is great for 7-11 year olds as it is not very heavy book, with some big words. I overall give this book a 3/5 star rating as the story is great. The only problem the book has, is the book is not very heavy. It's more about the Water Horse's life then anything. There are not many actual problems. But overall I think this book is still great! Thanks for reading my book review.
