Minecraft: Blockopedia by Alex Wiltshire
Reviewed by Liam BPS This book may look very BIG and heavy, but it is very useful in many ways. This block of a book teaches Minecraft players new and old about all of the blocks in the game all of them up to 1.17 (the caves and cliffs update). This book is now outdated but useful. Anyway, this book can help players learn about the stats about each and every block such as blast resistance, hardness, light emission, if it is renewable, if it is flammable, if it can be obtained by silk touch and if it is transparent semi-transparent or opaque (solid). I rate this book 10/10 for the great insight on all of the blocks. I recommend this book to people ages 10+ because it is a long book and it takes a while to read (about 3 hours). |
How (Not) to Annoy Mum by Dave Hughes & Holly Ife
Reviewed by Charlotte CariPS How (Not) to Annoy Mum is a funny stand-alone book. In this book three children constantly annoy their Mum. The character of mum is very loving, caring and gives lots of time to her kids. Like everyone in this book they are koalas. Throughout this book the character of mum wears a spotty T-shirt and black pants. This book is set all around the house, car and at the shops. The mood of the book is very heart warming and playful. On every page there are colorful and detailed illustrations. Overall How (Not) to Annoy Mum is a playful stand-alone book. I recommend that children aged 3 to 12 read this book. I rate How Not to Annoy Mum 5/10. |

My favorite character is Kev. I like Kev because he is big, large and super funny. I rate this book 7/10 because it's too short and the sentences are too short as well. Karen's Haircut by Ann M. Martin
Reviewed by Harriet S. BGS This book is about how a little girl didn’t like how she looked so she went to a salon to get a haircut. The hairdresser cut to much hair and then the girl got bullied. She changed more about herself, like put make up on and changed her name more than 10 times, but her friend still didn’t want to go to her party/fake wedding. Then they had a talk and her friend liked her just the way she was. I recommend this book to 9 to 12 year olds and people who like drama. I rate this a 9/10. What I like about this story is there is some drama but people learn to be nice. |
