Reviewed by Eve C. BuniPS

Freddie's Amazing Bakery is an audio book that I enjoyed listening to in the car. Freddie's Bakery is a great book because as you listen, you can picture the story in your mind. The audio book uses good describing words that help you to imagine the bakery treats, the people, the competition and the town where Freddie lives. The story is about a bakery competition which Freddie enters to bake a yummy raspberry treat, but Bernhard steals an important ingredient of Freddie's, making it hard for Freddie to finish his special creation. Freddie has a friend in Miss M, who helps Freddie during the competition, then Freddie does something really nice for Miss M at the end of the book.
This audio book can be borrowed from Ballarat Libraries.
I rate this book a 9/10.

The Amazing Pat Cummins by Chris Maher

Reviewed by George D. CLPS

Do you know who famous cricket bowler Pat Cummins is? Well wonder no more! This book is all about him and his journey from young, talented boy to captaining the Australian Ashes team. The Ashes is a very old cricket tournament that is between England and Australia where they battle it out to gain a replica of the sacred Ashes cup. Legend has it that the First Test wicket bails were burned and put into the cup, therefore it was named the Ashes.
When Pat was a boy he was running home from kinder with four bags of lollies (Pat has three sisters) he went into the bathroom where the first of his three sisters was.He opened the door and she shut it back on his finger and chopped the end the finger clean off (this is bad for fast bowlers because the middle finger is the last bit that the ball touches so you use it for aiming but if the tip of your middle finger is off.
I recommend this book to anyone who is into cricket and/or wants to learn more.
I would rate this book 10/10 because I learnt so much reading this book.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
by C.S Lewis

Reviewed by Lewis SCPS

This book is about four children moving into a new home and finding many different places, including a very peculiar one. There was a fairly big wardrobe in one of the spare rooms. So one of the four children called Lucy opened the wardrobe and found herself inside of a forest called Narnia, and it seemed to be Winter because you could only see a little snippet of greenery on the trees. Everything was covered in snow. My favourite part of the story was when they defeated the evil queen of Narnia, and then it became Summer so you could see green trees for miles and miles.
I rate this book 7/10.
Older kids would probably understand the language more, so I recommend this to ages 9 to 15.

Imagine going from having no friends to having lots of friends because of a sketchbook. Dany had a crazy aunt that passed away and let people keep her stuff. Dany took a few sketch books to see what her aunt was about, but the book was magic and whatever you drew came to life.
At first she didn't know it was magic and drew Prince Neptune (a character in a movie). After she found out that the book was magic she made money and other stuff. One day at school, Nick Maloney (a bully), came up and said something which made her upset. She ran to the toilet and got her sketchbook and decided to make someone who could be her best friend. After a while she found a name, Madison Fontaine, from New York City, kind, good at hair and makeup, friendly and her best friend obviously.
