The Hidden Kingdom (Wings of Fire #3) |
Reviewed by Eliza CLPS Glory is a sarcastic dragonet of destiny; great at looking and acting, as well as lazy and stupid. She will do anything for her tribe. But when RainWings start to go missing and the RainWing Queen won’t do anything to help, it’s up to Glory and her friends to save them. I love all the detail put into the story from Tsunami’s thoughts to Glory’s. I give this book a ten out of ten. |
I’ve Lost My Kisses by Trudie Trewin
Reviewed by Piers W. APS This book is about a cow named Matilda, she has lost her kisses and she wants them back before her Poppa comes to stay. Her mum tells her that her kisses will be there when she needs them, but Matilda searches everywhere trying to find them. When they go to pick up Poppa at the airport Matilda is very miserable, until she hears her Poppa say, “Where’s my big smoocheroo?” Matilda feels like bursting as she fills up with kisses, just exactly when she needed them. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K Rowling
Reviewed by Kaelan P. CLPS I liked this book because it is, like all other Harry Potter books, exciting and suspenseful. Dumbledore's wand hand is blackened but he does not reveal why... Harry is being educated about the Dark Lord's past... so he can survive. I think it is for ages 7 and over. I give it a 10/10 |
The Rainbow Machine by Roderick Hunt
Reviewed by Piers W. APS This book is about five children who have a magic key and go on an adventure. The key takes them to a rainbow making machine, everyone takes it in turns to press the button and makes a rainbow. When one of the children called Nadim has his turn it doesn’t make a rainbow, instead it turns the whole sky red. The rainbow making machine has to bleach the sky, the sky and the sun turn white, suddenly the magic key begins to glow, and the sky turns back to blue and the sun yellow. I give it 8/10 and recommend it for Grades 2-4. |
