The Seeds of Friendship by Michael Foreman

Picture
Reviewed by Piers W. APS
My best friend in England gave me this book when I moved to Australia.  It’s about a boy called Adam and he feels alone in the new city.  He misses where he used to live and thinks the new place is cold, grey and empty.  He’s too shy to say hello, until it starts snowing and he makes a snowman with some new children, they become his friends.  At school Adam’s favourite place is a small garden, his teacher gave him some seeds to plant at home in window boxes. He doesn’t see a grey world anymore but a city of gardens.
I recommend it for Grade 1 - Grade 4 and give it 8/10.
