This story is about a little girl who is bored and she wants a pet. She didn’t want to play with her little brother because he was too young and tiny. She wanted a pony, but her Mum and Dad said she could have either a cockatoo or a frog. She thinks about it for a while and then asks if she can have a Guinea Pig. They say yes! She names him Bob. I would rate this book an 8 /10 because it‘s a short story, but is it is interesting.

Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors

This book is about what punishments people received and all the bad things people did, way back in history from 1485 – 1603. The types of punishments include being squeezed to death, being hit once with a knife and being drowned. I think the punishments were over the top, and we would never do this to peoples nowadays.
I would rate this book 8 /10 because it’s more for teenagers.
Young kids won’t really understand the concepts because they are too horrible.

Emmy starts in a new school and feels left out. She tries lots of different subjects, but still doesn’t fit in until she joins the music class and meets a girl and an inspiring teacher. Read on to find out how she eventually finds her pathway. This book is about focusing on the positive things in school, and not all of the negative things in school. I would rate this book 9/10.

Not long after they got home Maddie’s mum came home and was horrified when she saw a dog in their rental home. They couldn't find the owner so the next day they took the dog to the animal shelter. When they were there Maddie realised they could do with some help, so she asked if they needed another volunteer. Every Saturday she would work at the rescue centre. Maddie's mum checked the rental agreement, they weren’t allowed a dog but they could have a bunny!

Kookaburras are the most funny animals in the world, they like to sing and the like to dance but mostly, they like to laugh!
Once there were these Kookaburras who loved to laugh but mostly one didn't, everyone was getting worried about their little mate. Until one day he had enough! The Kookaburra was searching for a new flock of birds, some were too mean, rude, ignored him but then, he found one that was just right for him. They had lots of fun until one day he found out they were plastic and then he decided to go back to the family tree and they're were the birds...

"What makes a kookookaka plop?"
"A kookaburra laughing his head off!"

And everyone was laughing their heads off, even the unamused kookaburra and now he laughs...most of the time.
