Aussie Kids: Meet Zoe and Zac at the Zoo

This book is about Zoe and Zac feeding animals at the zoo for their birthday. First, they had to feed the lions. Amali the lion would not eat. Mum said they would check on Amali later. Then they fed the giraffes and meerkats. After that they had to scoop elephant poo. They went to check on Amali but could not see her. They had to go into the lion enclosure and look for Amali. Wow Amali had baby lion cubs.
I rate this book 10 out of 10.
I recommend this book is for Year 1 to Year 3.

In this book it tells you how to have a positive mindset so you can have a happy life.
I like this book because it gives you 100 tips for being your stress-free best.
I recommend this book for ages 7+.

Diary Disaster (Ella Diaries #14) by Meredith Costain

This book is about Ella and her best friend Zoe going on a trip to Turtle Island. Peach, a rude girl, took Ella’s diary to read Ella’s secrets. Ella was so sad when she found out her diary was missing. Peach set up traps for Ella to find her diary. Ella had been waiting so long to see the baby turtles and then finally she saw them.

It is nearly the summer holidays and Josh's Mum asks Josh if he would like to stay at his Nan's house for the holidays. At his Nan's, his Pop has a present for him. It is a book called 'Viking Pirates of the North'. Josh decides to become a Viking. I won't tell you anymore, you will have to read the book.
I like this book because it has lots of action and funny pictures.
I rate this book 10/10.
I recommend this book for ages 7-12.

I Heart Pets (Ella Diaries #3) by Meredith Costain

This book is about Ella wanting to do fact files about animals but she needs more animals and mum and dad says no to more pets. Ella started a pet walking service. Then Peach changed Ella’s phone number to her phone number. When Ella saw what Peach did, she was so mad. Ella realised she had so many insects in her garden to make fact files about.   

Roald Dahl's: George’s Marvellous Experiments

This marvellous book is filled with funny and cool science experiments for kids and adults to do such as making your own putty farm and foamy fizzy potion.
I recommend this book for Years Prep – 8.

Dinosaur Dump by Tim Miller and Matt Stanton

This is a funny book about dinosaurs living in a valley. One day ten dinosaurs went to the toilet. The last dinosaur’s poo made the volcano erupt. All the dinosaurs ran but they all got caught in the toilet water. Now there are no more dinosaurs left and that’s why they are extinct.
I rate this book 8 out of 10.
I recommend this book for Prep to Year 1.

Tilly is a girl and her house has many hidden places to find. One day Tilly found her own little hiding place, it was a little step and no one knew about it! Her sister and brothers all sat on it, walked on it, but no one knew Tilly's secret. Then one day Tilly's step was covered with a big yellow carpet. Can she find a new place for her treasures?
I recommend this book for 5 year olds.
I rate it 10/10.

This book is about a girl called Katie having a wobbly tooth.
Katie and her family went to the beach. When she ate her mango her tooth fell out, but she didn’t know this. Later she realised her tooth was missing.
Katie told her mum that her tooth was missing. She looked for her tooth but she couldn’t find it. Later she found her tooth on the sandcastle. This made Katie so happy
This book is for Prep to Year Three.

My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes by Eve Sutton

In this book there’s lots of different cats with talents but their cat likes to hide in boxes.
I like this book because they like their cat the way it is.
I recommend this book for ages 2+.

The Lion King by Don Ferguson

This book is about the Lion King, Mufasa, having a newborn cub. Mufasa’s brother Scar was so jealous that he told Simba to go past the border of the kingdom. Scar’s hyenas almost killed Simba but Mufasa came and saved Simba. Then Scar told Simba to go far away and never come back. Scar killed Mufasa and took over the land. When Simba heard what happened he returned. Then Simba killed Scar. After that Simba married Nala and had a baby of their own.
I recommend this book for Year Prep to Year Two.
I rate this book 7 out of 10.

How to Put an Octopus to Bed by Sherri Duskey Rinker

This book is about all the steps to put an octopus to bed. Sometimes there is a little trouble with bath time, getting on your pyjamas and getting into bed.
I recommend this book is for children in Year 1 and Year 2. It is also a great book to read to younger siblings at bedtime.

This book is about a boy called Taj living in a little town with a big family. Things turned bad in his town and Taj had to move to Australia. At first it was hard because Taj didn’t have any friends. He even wore his lucky shirt for three days but nothing happened. After a year Taj made lots of friends. Now he can invite friends over for dinner like he used to in his old town.
I rate this book 8 / 10.
I recommend this book for Year One to Year Three.

Pig the Winner by Aaron Blabey

This book is about a pug who is always cheating to win but if he loses, he would cry until they say he wins. One day Pig, the pug, had an eating race with Trevor. Accidentally Pig swallowed his bowl. Then Trevor helped Pig. Then a ball hit Pig into the bin. Mostly Pig won’t cheat anymore.
I recommend this book for Prep to Year One and I rate this book 5 / 10.

The Super Secret Club (Ella Diaries #15)

This book is about four girls called Chloe, Daisy, Poppy and Georgia who were whispering every day. Ella and Zoe wanted to know what Chloe, Daisy, Poppy and Georgia were talking about.
Every day the girls would put an envelope on a table each day. Finally Ella and Zoe got an envelope for a secret club. They had to say the password but Ella got it wrong. Ella got one more chance and got the password right.
Now Ella had to do 3 tests to prove she is part of the club. The tests are do a handstand for 5 seconds, say all the names of the people in the club and pick a bracelet. The club was cancelled because they got caught by the teacher. The next day all the girls played soccer and Gang-up Tiggy.
This book is for Years 2 to 5.

The Brockets Get a Dog by John Boyne

This book is about a girl who worked at the zoo. Every day she would make a mistake. She was on her final warning so she had to do a test. The test was to take care of 7 puppies for a week.
When she got home, she saw her sisters friend Henry, sad on the couch. She asked Henry what was wrong. He said his dog died. Two days later she lost a puppy, five days later she heard a bark in the closet. She found the lost puppy.
The boss was already there to fetch the puppies again so she put the puppy in Henry’s bag. Henry heard a bark in his bag so he looked in his bag. He was so surprised when he saw a new puppy. Then he took care of his new dog.
This book is for Years 2 to - 6.
I rate this book 10 / 10.
